About The Publisher: Meghan Saragusa

Macaroni KID Easton Area

Hello, Macaroni KID family! My name is Meghan Saragusa, and I am a new passenger among the “MK Publisher Train”! I am so excited about this opportunity to exist and to be able to have access to this community. I have a long, but lost joy for writing. I have always wanted to find something I can write about that I naturally know much about and be able to reach a large group of people, make some sort of impact, you know? Well, here it is! I recently got a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, and I am in a “layover” period until I muster up the courage (and finances) to obtain a master’s degree! I hope to achieve licensure in counseling for Pennsylvania. I am also a big mental health advocate, and certified as a peer support person through DBSA, or Depression-Bipolar Support Alliance. Meanwhile, what is there to do but have a couple jobs and gain as much experience as possible? Currently, I am a direct support professional in a group home setting and have been for 8 years, a tutor, and a soon to be publisher. What an amazing ride life is and has been. I am a mother to a 2-and-a-half-year-old, plus just three years ago we obtained guardianship of my husband’s teenage siblings; a boy who is now 16 and a girl who is now 18 years old. We went from no kids to three kids in a few short months, and boy has it been a ride! We have five pets in total as well: two cats and three dogs. Chaos is striving to be organized but inevitably beautifully messy; this is how I’d describe our family. In having such an age gap between children, experiencing toddlerhood and teenagerhood at the same time is an adventure but there are activities that our family finds much needed joy in. I hope to share ideas, events, and so much more with you all.
